Big Bear Village

Big Bear Village -Shopping Area

There are several shopping areas in the Big Bear Valley; The Village, Moonridge, the Von’s/Stater Brothers area, along Big Bear Boulevard (through Big Bear City), Fawnskin and Sugarloaf. Of these choices, the Village has the highest concentration of shops and restaurants. It’s easy to find, most people encounter the Village as they hit the first stop light coming in from the west (Hwy 18).

Our favorite store in the village is Mill Creek trading Company. They have an extensive collection of Pendleton Blankets, men’s wool shirts, Carhartt products and Ugg Boots. This store has been a Village fixture for more than 20 years and has the best selection of women’s clothing on the mountain.

There is usually plenty of parking in the Village. You can park at the Visitor’s Center, in the Bartlett parking lot, or across the street, behind the mall’s. See map.

An annual chili cook-off in July and an Antique Car Show in August are some of the events hosted in the Village.

Looking for an unusual restaurant, like Indian food? Try the Himalayan Restaurant.
