Snowshoe Tours at the Discovery Center
December 19, & 20 2009 – 9:00am

Come celebrate our winter wonderland by playing in it! The Discovery Center is offering guided snowshoe tours this winter for visitors and residents to explore scenic areas around Big Bear Lake. A naturalist will lead you through the forest where you will learn about winter ecology and natural history of the Big Bear Valley. Tour is suitable for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts. Meet at the Big Bear Discovery Center. Snowshoes and additional transportation are provided. Rate: Adults: $35, Children (8-12): $25 Dates: Saturdays 9am-12pm & 1pm-4pm, Sundays 9am-12pm; December 19 through March 7. Fairy & Fantasy Fashion Show and Tea
December 19, 2009 – 1:00pm to 3:00pm

The Big Bear Valley Renaissance Society is presenting the Fairy & Fantasy Fashion Show and Tea on Saturday on Dec. 19th from 1pm to 3pm at The Vintage on the Lake. There will be a full tea served and the fairy fashions will be presented by Victorian Designs by Lily and Lady Blackrose. There will also be some fairy vendors there…to do some Christmas shopping!! Tickets are available by calling 909-237-0448. There are general admission $20 and V.I.P. seating for $25. V.I.P. seating is limited, so get your tickets early! Remember, this event is a production of the Big Bear Valley Renaissance Society, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non- profit for education. All profits go to children and teachers for scholarships and educational endeavors.

Christmas on the Boardwalk

Saturday, December 19, the unique shops on the Moonridge Boardwalk will remain open until 7:00pm for your shopping convenience. Join us for holiday snacks, good shopping, and place a wish on the Boardwalk Wish Tree. Gift wrapping service will be available for your wrapping needs.
